Whether you’re looking for gear to get you started with baby-led weaning, something to help with the stress and mess, or wanting to find some great gifts for the little eaters in your life…I’ve got you covered. Here is a master list of my favorite feeding gear along with discount codes if you’re stocking up.

ezpz Mats, Bowls, Spoons & Open Cups

ezpz makes the original silicone suction mats and bowls that help stabilize your baby at mealtimes and supports independent eating. All of the ezpz infant feeding products were developed by their feeding expert, so they are developmentally appropriate for babies 6m+.

If you only want to purchase one item, the ezpz First Foods Set is the way to go. The First Foods set contains everything you need to give your baby a safe start to solid foods using baby-led weaning.

My affiliate discount code KATIE10 works for 10% off everything at ezpzfun.com.

If you are following my 5-STEP FEEDING FRAMEWORK for baby-led weaning, by day 3 you start introducing a more traditional meal in the second half of each feeding.

The ezpz Mini Mat is the best BLW mat for doing this. The mini mat is the one where I put the baby’s carbohydrate/starchy food portion in the smile pocket, and then one small portion of fruit OR vegetable in one of the eyes and a small portion of protein in the other eye pocket.

You’ll also want to get a few ezpz Tiny Cups and their 2-pack of ezpz Tiny Spoons when you are starting BLW. Keep in mind there is no fork milestone for babies under 12m…so stick to the Tiny Spoon for babies 6-12 months.

Online CPR + Choking Course

Another important thing to do before starting baby-led weaning is to take an infant refresher CPR course.

The online infant refresher CPR course I take each quarter and recommend is linked here. It’s already pretty affordable but the affiliate discount code KATIE10 takes another $10 off.

If choking really freaks you out, I also co-teach a Choking Prevention and Response course for babies on that same platform. I’ll link to the choking course here and code KATIE10 works for $10 off that as well.

Puffworks Baby Peanut & Almond Puffs

Puffworks Baby makes peanut butter and almond puffs for safely introducing 2 different allergenic food categories: peanuts and tree nuts.

There are lots of ways to make nuts safe for babies to eat - mixing with oatmeal or applesauce, thinning out with breastmilk or formula…

…but if you want a no stress, low mess alternative to thinning out nut butters, I love the Puffworks Baby peanut butter and almond puffs.

I think one case of peanut and one case of almond is plenty. Just be sure to do peanut first a few times without reaction before doing almond because their baby almond product contains peanut protein.

My affiliate discount code BABYLED works for a discount on the puffworks baby products at puffworks.com.

Bapron Baby Bibs + Splash Mats

My favorite BLW bibs are from Bapron Baby. They are a pinafore style bib…kind of a cross between a bib and an apron.

Baprons tie behind your baby’s shoulder blades and they provide a better sensory experience than bibs that are all up in your baby’s neck…plus the waterproof fabric is amazing and you can just rinse it under your sink and dry on the drainboard before next meal.

For babies 6 months - 2 years get the Bapron “Toddler” size and then at 2 years I size up to “Preschool” baprons.

Bapron also makes these amazing splash mats that go under your baby’s high chair. These are perfect for minimizing the mess and they are so durable…don’t mess around with any other mats, these are the deal!!

My affiliate discount code KATIE10 works for 10% off at bapronbaby.com on everything including their bapron bibs and splashmats.

Nomi High Chair

The high chair I use for all 7 of my kids and in my BLW nutrition practice is the Nomi High Chair.

I love that it has an adjustable footplate that doesn’t require tools…plus it grows with your child from infancy through to adolescence so you’ll never have to buy another chair.

Yes, this is an investment - but I firmly believe it is worth investing in a safe seat for your baby to eat. I have the Nomi in pretty much every color, but the white with oak stem is really classic.

If you are shopping the Nomi high chair I do have a 25% off discount for high chairs, trays and accessories. This is only for United States purchasers.

Here’s how to obtain the Nomi high chair at 25% discount:

So…there you have my favorite feeding gear! You don’t need much to do BLW (safe environment, infant CPR training, and safely prepared foods), but I do find that this gear can make the whole process much easier :)
